Effective in forward pick operations, a mini load is also suited for applications that include the buffering and storage of small raw materials and/or finished goods. It is also a good buffering system for small items that represent work-in-process. Mini Load offers three crane transfer options to handle placement and retrieval of loads, whether items are in plastic totes, corrugated paper cases or a specialty container.
In addition to Daifuku's standard mini load, we offer a line called MSS. An MSS works well when loads in a random state must be put in an ordered state, or vice versa and when short-term staging is needed rather than long-term storage. The MSS mini load is comprised of a beam with an extractor rather than the standard crane on a rail. The extractor moves back and forth on the beam, and the beam itself moves up and down.

Specifications
The availability of overhead space in the facility determines rack height. Aisle length and the number of aisles are based on available floor space. Load size and required throughput affects the speed and is considered t o determine system configuration of a single or dual shuttle and single or double-deep storage.
